Hellz yeah !! Bon Scott era AC/DC in killer quality, that will put a smile on any rockers face.

Any seeding help would be graciously accepted, as I'm having trouble connecting to the lone seeder....

Does anyone know if the announcer at this show is the same guy heard on Zep's BBC sessions during "How many more times" ?? His voice sounds familiar.

Wow!

What a blast from the past that was! :D

I did see it when it was first broadcast - I distinctly remember those natty 70's high waisted flares of Bon Scott's.

Great stuff - thanks to Presence and the kind people that helped seed on Sunday and Monday

I sent a copy to my old mate Rich.

Got this e-mail in response -

F*ckin luvvit- no really I f*uckin luvvit. You big ole star you....thanks for the DVD. Absolutely classic, heyday stuff- what a god Bon Scott was and where the frick did the littlefella get the energy from!!

As an aside, I remember having a heated conversation with Mr Plant in the good old Nags about AC DC and he was slagging them for their 'blatant ripping off of LZ' (e.g Highway To Hell/ Stairway To Heaven, Whole Lotta Rosie/Whole Lotta Love) and I simply reminded him that a) er, yeah, I think that was intentionally humorous and 2) the Zeps weren't averse to a little pilfering from the old bluesmen themselves on occasional (Killing Floor etc)- I seem to recall he went quiet and nodded sagely!!

("the good old Nags" = The Nags Head pub in Monmouth)

Rich was one of the guys who organised this concert -

was fortunate enough to catch bon-era ac/dc once on the 'highway to hell' tour. was even more fortunate to be in the perfect location in the crowd when bon carried angus out into the audience for a solo. one sweaty swipe of the hand as they passed by was quite the thrill for the 14-year-old me at the time.

thanks for this and thanks to the lone seeder hanging on.

Whoh I'm only a few months late :)

Can anyone help out and seed? Many thanks in advance!

I'm really looking forward to watching this in a sick way. I have the GM version of this show, and while the quality is really nice, the screen is squished into fake letterbox. Lame. Like I needed Angus to look MORE like a demented troll on cheap speed

EDIT: OOps, had a power outage at the house after I left for work this morning. Back on now!

Thanks for this. No idea why it's showing me as firewalled. ??? My ports are usually open. Sigh.

Hmmm

Upping at 30 kb/sec but you appear to be d/l at 8 kb/sec

Firewalled indeed.

Still, a great show and will stay on for a while.

Enjoy when you get it as it is a fantastic show.

Thanks very kindly for the reseed! I'm watching this now and it is absolutely fantastic - the BBC really knew how to record these concerts! The only negative that I've caught so far though is that TNT is cut off well before the end. Here is a full version:

A version with the full TNT, along with Rock Goes to College and Apollo, can be found here:

http://www.thetradersden.org/forums/sho ... ight=scott

The version at TTD, Japanese broadcast, is very good but suffers from a few audio dropouts on the Sights and Sounds portion. While the Presence version doesn't include the full TNT, it does include the full intro where the other one doesn't and the Presence version is definitely the better of the two for quality.
