Gave this one a watch with my room mate tonight. He gets such a kick out of these VH DVDs, I dont tell him I'm downloading them or getting them and just give him the disk and say I got a new one for you to watch. He says he saw them twice on this tour, said once in May so just a month or so after this.
We both got a laugh out of Alex and his head band matching next brace, wtf is up with that? Is he trying to distract us from the brace or make us think its part of an outfit? This was the first time I have seen Gary perform and all I have to say is that his voice fits the band but thats about it. I dont know how the VH boys could stand his stage antics, he would piss me off. I can't say I've ever listened to VH3 but didnt mind some of the songs. As usual the arrangements are pretty tight and the band nails them for the most part live.
The roommate commented that Eddie's tone sounded a little hollow when we first started. I cant really critique the production as I have nothing to compare it to. HD it is not, but for a vhs source it is as good as I've seen. Were those pops I heard during "Aint Talking About Love" and then very briefly during "Panama?" Is that only on my end or what could is the cause of those? I really enjoyed Eddies performance and appreciate Michael Anthony's Bass and backing vocals the more I listen and watch. Michael just seems genuinely happy up there. BTW, how many VH cutoff shirts do you think he owns?
The roommate gives his best regards, says he has to go back and listen to VH3 again but first had to go play drums; which I may not get to sleep anytime soon because he is banging away on his kit in the basement now. If you have any other VH in the works Pres, we will much appreciate you sharing
