Hasn't Plant been doing that slow "You Need Love" intro for at least the past couple of years now? Even that is getting old at this point.

Nice clip, of course, but in general I have little interest in seeing/hearing Plant perform Zep songs with his solo bands.

Thank you for the nice video Presence. I haven't had a chance to see Plant solo, and haven't really listened to any recent live performances so none of this is old to me.. I like it, at least upon first listen. :o

As many have said before, this makes the reunion all the more exciting!

Me too. I hope he leaves that nonsense out while performing with Zep. I'm really sick of that crap.
Second time you mention man boobs. Are you secrectly getting off on them ? :P

Kashmir needs that as an intro... :D Sounds wonderful. The more ethnic vibes, the better.
I like what your wrote....The ethnic vibe is very cool for me...
Agree completly with that.

The track you are talking about is a north-african traditionnal song (from Tunisia i believe). It is called "Sidi Mansur", Plant started perfoming it in the spring of 2006, one or two shows before performing at "Festival Méditerranéen de La Guitare" Tunis, Tunisia (2006.03.24). Then he, more and more, included it in WLL.

It was cool for a while. I just think it's getting old now.

Also, somebody get him a manzier.

Be fair, man, he really only needs an A-cup.

As for the performance: I'm not so fond of the non very zeppelinish touches, but when Strange Sensations rock, they rock hard and tight.

I agree that Plant shit is getting old but it's still nice to see what he sounds like. He still kinda sounds like the 79 Plant.

Thanks Prez

Hi
thanks so much for sharing this it's great. What a throw away remark - from something I'm working on (or something like). If ever there was bait waiting to be taken.

Can anyone advise on the best way of converting this to an avi or mpeg file please? Would be a nice addition to the recent Little Sister gem from Mr Presence to provide a personal dvd.

What was the final view on source & date?

Once again many thanks.

Looks like percy will be in fine form for the London Show. Can't wait for the summer stadium tour of the states. :D

Yeah I can hope for it can't I?
No I don't have inside info, just pages comments and rumor that Giants Stadium has been booked for a few nights.

Hope for an arena tour instead. Stadiums suck.

Wow, Plant is on form. I've not really heard much of his SS onward days, but this was good. If this is an indication to how he'll perform at the reunion... By the cosmic dust I gotta find a way to be there! :o

Knocking the drummer seems to be a favorite post Led past time for some, but this guy does a good job (even if he can't hold both sticks up the same way). :)

Justin Adams is still embarassing.

Really?

I think that Justin is what makes the Strange Sensation be not just another band playing Plant's back catalogue. To be honest, I think that he's set the bar for Jimmy to match at the O2...

[reaches for the flame proof clothing...]

Anyway - thanks, Presence, for a great clip.

Well well if you're reaching for your heat proofs so am I! I think the reality is somewhere inbetween. Adams ain't no Page copyist that's for sure. I think that Robert saw a kindred spirit in him and it made the addition of eastern, arabic, etc influences to the back catalogue & new songs much easier. After all Page & Plant only played at this aspect and relied heavily on other musicians to achieve as far as they ventured. Robert & Justin have something between them that is evident to me on the 4 times I've seen RP & TSS live. Sometimes it works better than others but that was the same in Zep (and most other bands). I think that there is no comparison necessary as the feel of the bands (Zep and TSS) is so different that setting the bar is an irrelevant comment. Now where is that asbestos hat?

I'm with Hottiemagnet on this one - I can live without the Allah bit but it would make a great intro to Kashmir. I could just Jimmy going through the intro & then out of nowhere just ripping straight into Kashmir :rockout

Other than that it was great - except for the annoying digital bleeps thrown into the mix

If in one weeks time he still sounds like he did in the video, we are all in for a treat.

Thanks very much for sharing this, Pres - I LOVE the Strange Sensation - and think Plant is sounding better than he has in a long time. No cracking or anything!
