We do kind of forget...my oldest cousin, she graduated in 1972...same high school as me, good ol' super progressive Montgomery County, Maryland -USA.

Girls: Skirt with blouse

Boys: Slacks with Oxford shirt :D

Only by the late 1980s :wink:. (iirc there was a Zep-praising RS article, in the same issue of which Plant was also interviewed circa Now And Zen release, subsequent to their 1987 '100 Greatest Albums' list in which II and IV made it, plus RS's 'Greatest Rock Concerts/Tours Ever' [or something to that effect], in which LZ's first tour of the US made their list.)

anyway the early-mid 1980s was a time of Zep-reviling in popular-culture-at-large. Wasn't there a NME (or other UK music paper) headline, around the time of The Firm's debut:

    DEAD HIPPIES AWAKE
